Five Steps to Finding Peace

My place of peace.

For matters of the spirit, everyone needs a peaceful spot, a spiritual center where they can return again and again to connect to deeper meaning and intention.

Have you found your self recharging station? Remember, it does not have to be a big space. You could use your night table and sit on your bed.

I cannot overemphasize the benefits of using a spiritual touch down spot to find peace.

Take time there to:

  • Reflect

  • Write

  • Read

  • Create

  • Listen to music or

  • Just sit.

5 step guide to finding and arranging your place of peace

  1. Designate your spot if you haven't already done so. Make sure you have adequate lighting for reading.

  2. Set an intention for using your space. It could be the one word you have chosen to guide you this year as described in our last newsletter.

3. Place a notebook, 3 good pens for writing, a candle and lighter.

4. Find and arrange 3 - 5 items that are enhance your intention.

  • Flowers, herbs and or essectial oils. (I like frankincense.)

  • Prayer or mala beads

  • Spiritual or inspirational books

  • Photos of people you love

  • An element of nature - rock, sea shell, feather etc.

  • Artwork

  • Photos or small statues of people or animals who you inspire you

5. Use your space daily for at least 5 minutes. Light a candle at the beginning of each sitting.
